Nice T!ts

a play by Amy Marcs

A story of hope, love, and the resiliency of the human spirit.

The New York Times pick for top 6 comedy shows to see in N.Y.C. Feb. 2020

Just when life was going so well for Amy – a sexy New York Jewess with a great rack – she was diagnosed with breast cancer. With an unlikely American icon by her side, she navigates the hills and valleys of doctor visits, toy stores, singing nurses, hellish support groups, and her understandably healthy obsession with her breasts. Amy’s very personal story is full of humor and heart-felt honesty as she takes the audience on an exploration of her roller-coaster experience with breast cancer and its effect on her perceptions of femininity, womanhood, confidence and mortality.

Welcome to the world of Nice T!ts

Since 2015, “Nice T!ts” has been playing to capacity crowds across the country, touching the lives and hearts of almost 2,000 people. We’ve paired up to raise awareness and essential funds with the iconic Avon 39, The Walk to End Breast Cancer, Hadassah of Boston, Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Greater Mercer County, YMCA Breast Cancer Resource Center, and Sharsheret.

I needed to write this story about hope, love, and the resiliency of the human spirit, as well as our capacity to triumph over adversity even in the most traumatic of situations. Comedy is a powerful vehicle to share stories that may otherwise be hard for people to digest. It allows you to take the uncomfortable and make it comfortable. Laughter is and always will be the best form of therapy.”

– Amy Marcs ( Creator/Performer “Nice T!ts”)

“Marcs finds the universal in one woman’s story. She has the breezy pace and snappy timing of a stand-up comedienne.”

— Lancet Oncology Journal

“Simultaneously hilarious and touching. One show you don’t want to miss!”

— Bust Magazine

The show must go on!

I was slated for two more celebrity readings of “Nice T!ts” at the Triad Theater in NYC after a very successful and sold out show with the women of Broadway’s Hadestown. I had two fabulous casts of extremely talented women from Broadway and TV lined up for shows in March and April of 2020. The momentum for Nice T!ts was growing. I paired up with Stupid Cancer and You Can Thrive to donate a portion of proceeds from the shows’ performances to these very important cancer organizations. And then the pandemic happened. Something no one could have ever expected and the world was turned upside down. Of course all of my plans for Nice T!ts were put on hold until December 2020 when I decided to stream the show for one night as an experiment to see how Nice T!ts would translate to YouTube. I was so used to interacting with a live audience, of having that deeply personal experience and connection that you can only have when you are in a dark theater where magic happens. I had no idea if Nice T!ts would work in this new medium, but I felt deeply compelled to continue telling my story. A story of being resilient, a story of making it through extremely difficult times, a story of finding hope. This was the perfect time to tell my story. The night was a huge success and Nice T!ts went on to be nominated for dramatic writing of the year by the Young-Howze Theater Awards.
