An Artist’s Life & Spirit

I have always learned by keeping an open heart, and that is how I approach teaching.

I love being a teacher/educator, to bear witness to my students’ growth not only as artists but as human beings. I believe that the deeper we dive and delve into a script, into exploring the life of another human we are then called to go deeper within ourselves and explore our own humanity. It takes true courage to be an artist to put your heart out there and be completely vulnerable. As a teacher I create a space where an artist feels safe to grow, to go places they have never been before, to take risks, to get messy, and to not worry or get caught up in “am I doing this right,” but to put their energy into finding the truth.

I support my students in striving for excellence and finding the joy in the work as my mentor Fred Kareman would always say. I pass this philosophy along to my students and the next generation of artists.

I also consider actors to be artistic athletes. That means one needs tremendous discipline, dedication and a strong work ethic to pursue a life in the arts.

Please reach out if you are interested in working together, to see if we are a good fit. A conversation/interview is required to be admitted to any of my classes.

Classes, Coaching, Guidance…

ACTING / SCENE STUDY /

MEISNER TECHNIQUE

I offer both scene study classes and classes focusing on the Meisner Technique. I combine many different modalities in my teaching as I fully believe there is not just one way in. Different techniques work for different people — we are all unique. The goal is to have a fully developed, open, responsive, and authentic instrument that expresses the human condition. Additionally, I focus on script analysis because it is our job as actors/storytellers to bring to life the story that the writer set out to tell.

CAREER COACHING /

LIFE COACHING

It’s all about setting goals and sticking to them, as well as establishing a supportive community. We can’t do it alone!

I can help you discover what’s getting in the way of you becoming the creative artist you know you can be. I can assist you to release the struggle and guide you through the many materials needed to present yourself. You also don’t need to be stuck to come to me. I can help you manifest the career you desire.

I worked for a top NYC casting director for ten years and can offer valuable insights into that aspect of the business.

You don’t only need to be an actor to come to me. I love helping people find their purpose, and witnessing them reach their fullest potential and live the life they are called to live.
